Concert Planning:
Regular concert planning and organizing meetings are usually monthly, often on the second Monday of the month, at 7:00 pm. The most
frequent location is St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
near the corner of Meyer and Wornall Rd., KCMO. Any one wishing to present ideas for consideration or
to help with concert planning is welcome to attend. New volunteers are always welcomed.
You may send e-mail to the President, Mason Wolf, using
the email address president at mvfs.org. The MVFS concert information line is

History: Missouri Valley Folklife Society (MVFS) was founded in 1980 to encourage
appreciation of the rich cultural heritage and ethnic background of the midwestern USA. It continues
to work to provide a forum in which professional folklife artists can share their talents
with the widest possible audience. Though many MVFS events have focused on the celtic and
celtic roots music, a wide range of other genres have been sponsored, including Cajun French, French Canadian,
Peruvian, Mexican, Blues, Americana, Bluegrass, and many others.
Membership:MVFS members provide the organization with additional and much needed
financial support for the concert series, and qualify for discounts on concert tickets, the organization's newsletter,
as well as the concert flyers. Click here for a printable Membership Form. You can also join
online by using our link with Brown Paper Tickets. This is a new feature for us.
To only
receive concert and other MVFS event information, please see the Mailing List page.
Privacy Policy:
Protecting your privacy is important to the Missouri Valley Folklife
Society.
No information is collected unless you have provided it to us
voluntarily.
At the same time, it seems reasonable to us that if you've requested
information about one of our concerts, posted to the forum or purchased
tickets, you might like to know about other concerts coming up.
So the Missouri Valley Folklife Society may use information you provide
-- such as your name, address and e-mail address -- to let you know
about our upcoming events.
Missouri Valley Folklife Society does not sell, trade, or rent your
personal information to others. Very occasionally we may allow another
producer to send you information about an event that MVFS is not
producing but that we're cosponsoring or otherwise supporting.
By using this Website, you agree to this Privacy Statement. However,
if you'd rather not receive notification of upcoming events, just send
an email saying so to kcmusic@mvfs.org and we'll remove you from the
mailing list, the email list or both as you prefer.
